The Bulls are one of the Cairns District Rugby Union’s most successful sides and enjoyed minor and major premiership success in 2009 in A-grade, reserve grade and in the women’s competition, as well as producing a number of players who went on to represent the Cairns Thunder in the Queensland-wide State Cup. Alongside the club’s rugby achievements sits a thriving social group who love a beer and which goes out of its way to include newcomers and to make sure that they are given the chance to mark their mark with the Bulls. The Bulls are always keen to welcome rugby players or supporters who are interested in being involved with both a highly competitive rugby club and a great group of people off the field.

Wanderers Rugby Union Club was founded in 1978 by John Jekyll (known to friends as Tubby). As a result of an illness Tubby now resides in Brisbane, due to his disability our club has managed to still contribute funds towards his rehabilitation. We now play under the banner as Cairns RSL Wanderers, as our club have a close association with the Cairns RSL as our major sponsor of ten years. Our club prides itself on being a long standing family orientated club. We have a strong following in Cairns, with past players and social members maintaining a loyal and involved association. Not to mention the ever increasing interest of new and young players and the general public. Wanderers will field three Senior Teams this season – A Grade, Reserve Grade, Women’s & Junior Teams.
